Verification standards
Every member is verified against Ahmadu Bello University records before entering member spaces. Recent records match automatically; older records go through document review, classmate attestation and Registry checks, decided by a human records team under audit. Verification can be revoked for fraud, and impersonation of any person is grounds for immediate removal and report.

For verified alumni — name, programme, class year, verification status. That is all, and you can opt out of even that.
What members see
What you choose, field by field — career, photo, contacts each have their own setting, with conservative defaults.
What we never do
Sell personal data; show member data to advertisers; move data to new uses without asking first.
What the University receives
Aggregate insight — where graduates work, in what fields, in what numbers — never your individual record without your consent.

Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you may access and export your data, correct it, delete it, object to processing, or withdraw consent — from your settings, or by writing to the Data Protection Officer. Requests are answered within statutory timelines. Deletion has honest limits: University academic records and audited financial records are retained under their own legal rules, and we say exactly which.

Verified accounts of prominent alumni are marked; report lookalikes and they are removed fast.
Security & disclosure
The platform is engineered and audited to protect a community of this scale — encrypted in transit and at rest, access-logged, independently penetration-tested. Security researchers: reports to the security desk are read by engineers, acknowledged within 72 hours, and never met with legal threats for good-faith research.
